The Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation has been serving as the library’s fundraising and advocacy partner since 1990.

Connecting the Community with Technology

Technology is an innovative, educational tool. The Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation is proud to help place these tools in the hands of the Grand Rapids community. Downloadable eAudiobooks are available as well as circulating, pre-loaded Nooks, allowing patrons to experience their favorite books in a new form.

Winner of the Urban Libraries Council's Top Innovator Award 2014, the DigiBridge Initiative empowers Grand Rapids Public School students to take their education to the next level. Designed to bridge the technology gap, the DigiBridge Initiative connects 5th through 12th grade students to the library's online and technological resources. This includes access to eReaders, research database training, a technology camp and a digital library card.

The Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization registered with the IRS and the state of Michigan. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
