Bring reading to life with the Grand Rapids Public Library's Audiobook Collection. This resource introduces and instills in young readers a curiosity about storytelling while offering older readers another way to enjoy reading. The library's audiobook collections also provide important reading options to patrons with low literacy skills or disabilities such as impaired vision. This special project funds the purchase of both audiobooks and eAudiobooks.
In 2017, the Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation gave over $8,100 to expand the Grand Rapids Public Library's growing audiobook and eAudiobook collection. This grant will assist in the purchase of new audiobook titles and give a wide spectrum of library patrons access to important and popular books. To make a donation to the Audiobook Fund, visit here.
